NOVATEK’s AGM approves 2006 dividend

Moscow, 25 May 2007. OAO NOVATEK announced that the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held yesterday approved the Company’s profit distribution for 2006.

According to NOVATEK’s 2006 annual results, net profit in accordance with the Russian Standards of Accounting amounted to RR 12.95 million. The AGM resolved to pay dividends on the Company’s shares in the amount of RR 1.10 per one ordinary share (excluding interim dividends paid for 6 months of 2006 in the amount of RR 0.55 per one ordinary share). The total dividend distribution for 2006, including interim dividends, amounts to RR 5.01 billion or RR 1.65 per share.

The date of record for the list of persons entitled to receive dividends was compiled on 5 April 2007, which also coincided with the date for making a list of those entitled to attend the Company’s AGM.
