NOVATEK’s AGM approves 2011 dividends

Moscow, 27 April 2012. OAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK” and/or the “Company”) announced that the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) approved the Company’s dividends payment for 2011.
 
The AGM resolved to pay dividends on the Company’s shares in the amount of RR 3.5 per one ordinary share or RR 35.0 per one Global Depositary Receipt (GDR), excluding the interim dividends of RR 2.5 per ordinary share or RR 25.0 per one GDR paid for the six months of 2011.
 
The total dividend distribution for 2011, including interim dividends paid for first half of 2011, amounts to RR 6.0 per one ordinary share or RR 60.0 per one GDR.
 
The dividend approved today is payable 60 days after shareholder approval to shareholders of record of the list of persons entitled to receive dividends compiled on 23 March 2012, which also coincided with the date for making a list of those entitled to attend the Company’s AGM.

PAO NOVATEK is one of the largest independent natural gas producers in Russia, and in 2017, entered the global LNG market by successfully launching the Yamal LNG project.
