NOVATEK establishes new Board sub-committee for LNG projects

Moscow, 4 December 2009. The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of OAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK” and/or the “Company”) has approved the establishment of a sub-committee within the Strategy and Investments Committee to oversee the development of LNG projects and natural gas markets.

The head of the new sub-committee is Burkhard Bergmann who was recently elected to the Board’s Strategy and Investments Committee and is also a member of the Corporate Governance and Remuneration Committee. The other Board members on the sub-committee are Mark Gyetvay and Gennady Timchenko.
