NOVATEK Signed an Additional Agreement with the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District
Moscow, 28 March 2018. Today PAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK”) signed an additional agreement to the Agreement on Cooperation with the Government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (YNAO).
The additional agreement provides the financial support of indigenous people, as well as implementation of social, educational and cultural programs in the YNAO in 2018.
The Chairman of NOVATEK’s Management Board Leonid Mikhelson noted: "Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District is one of the main region of our activity and we have successfully cooperated with the Government of the YNAO. Following the principles of sustainable development and social responsibility, we will continue to support social and economic activities in the YNAO”.
PAO NOVATEK is one of the largest independent natural gas producers in Russia, and in 2017, entered the global LNG market by successfully launching the Yamal LNG project. Founded in 1994, the Company is engaged in the exploration, production, processing and marketing of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons.
