PAO NOVATEK Statement for Partners
Moscow, 10 September 2024. Due to increasing instances of misinformation being published in the media affecting the operations and the reputation of PAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK” and/or the “Company”), please be informed that NOVATEK is one of the participants in Arctic LNG 2 LLC (the “Project”), while employees of the Company are not employed by the Project. All of the Project's activities, including operational and commercial activities, are controlled solely by the management of Arctic LNG 2.
The allegations made in the media, namely that the Company is involved in the establishment and management of a shadow fleet, as well as in loading products from the Arctic LNG 2 project, are untrue and do not stand up to facts.
We would like to note that the only reliable sources of information about the activities of NOVATEK are the official Company's website (www.novatek.ru), as well as press releases and official statements and comments by the members of the Company's Management Board.
NOVATEK will take all steps to thwart publication and dissemination of misinformation intended to cause damage to the Company, and will protect its interests in court.
PAO NOVATEK is one of the largest independent natural gas producers in Russia, and in 2017, entered the global LNG market by successfully launching the Yamal LNG project. Founded in 1994, the Company is engaged in the exploration, production, processing and marketing of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons.
