Work-Related Injuries
NOVATEK creates a safe working environment, striving to minimize accident risks and health hazards for employees and contractors working at its operating facilities. In the context of changes in labor safety legislation, occupational risk assessment plays an increasingly important role as a basis for many management processes.
The Company takes a proactive approach to identifying operational hazards by identifying potential threats at early stages and taking preventive measures. All new projects undergo occupational health and safety risk assessments.
To ensure safe operation of equipment and protection of employees, NOVATEK has in place a plan to manage key occupational risks, which includes fitting production equipment with protective and warning devices. All potentially dangerous situations that could lead to an accident at work are recorded in a timely manner. After each workplace accident, an unscheduled assessment of working conditions and occupational risks is conducted.
In the reporting period, PAO NOVATEK adopted its Regulations on the Occupational Risk Management System.
Incident root cause analysis
The Company continues running internal investigations of incidents based on the Incident Root Cause Analysis Standard to enable a comprehensive review of the events preceding the incident. Based on the results of the investigation, both immediate and systemic causes of the incidents were identified, with respective preventive measures developed for both aspects to avoid recurrence in the future.
Incident root cause analysis process

NOVATEK informs employees about emergencies, accidents, and incidents through dedicated reports and holds unscheduled meetings and briefings.
Work-related injuries among employees
A clear indicator of workplace safety at the Company is LTIFR, which stood at 0.19 in 2025, down 27% year-on-year, confirming the effectiveness of NOVATEK’s efforts to prevent injuries and reduce occupational risks.

The main causes of high-consequence injuries are addressed to a significant extent through continuous employee training and stricter qualification requirements, including the use of training facilities at field sites.
Occupational Health
To reduce occupational injuries and mortality rates, NOVATEK continued its systematic efforts to ensure quality medical control. The key objective was to obtain objective health data on employees, including those at remote sites, by introducing electronic systems for pre-shift medical examinations and working with healthcare institutions. Production sites have medical and paramedical aid posts (including contractor posts) to provide medical assistance to employees, as well as ten offices for pre-shift examinations. At remote sites, medical aid posts are equipped with inpatient facilities and an intensive-care unit, providing all the necessary medical care for employees and contractors.
These measures made possible the prompt removal of employees with medical contraindications from work, and also established a basis for follow-up medical care for individuals with chronic conditions and elevated health risks, a key factor in preventing accidents and premature employee mortality.
Company employees are entitled to medical advice under the Voluntary Health Insurance (VHI) program and have access to health resort treatment and rehabilitation. At workplaces with harmful working conditions, the Company has implemented a set of measures to eliminate or mitigate harmful factors. To prevent occupational diseases, NOVATEK conducts occupational risk assessments.
