Management Approach
Oil and gas companies are exposed to risks associated with the operation of hazardous production facilities.
NOVATEK is responsible for ensuring safe working conditions for Company employees and for promoting a strong safety culture among contractors while striving to identify and analyze such risks in a timely manner and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
NOVATEK’s occupational health and safety (OHS) management system, which is part of the Integrated Management System, covers 100% of employees and contractors across all of the Company’s business units.
The effectiveness of the OHS management system is monitored both at the Company’s highest governance level and at the executive level.
NOVATEK’s operations comply with legal requirements and internal OHS standards, rules, and procedures. The Company’s relevant principles are set out in the Occupational Health, Industrial and Fire Safety, and Environmental Policy.
For more details, see Section Integrated Management System.
